Spectrum’s iVantage® 4.0 Recognized with 2007 CODiE Award for “Best Human Resources Solution”

Denver, Colorado (April 18, 2007)—Spectrum Human Resource Systems Corporation was recognized last night with a 2007 CODiE Award for its iVantage 4.0 HRIS product, receiving the honor from the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA). SIIA—formerly the Software Publishers Association (SPA)—is the principal trade association for the software and digital content industry.

Spectrum received the award in the software category “Best Human Resources Solution—at the SIIA CODiE Awards Gala held at the Palace Hotel in San Francisco. SIIA established the CODiE Awards in 1986 so that software industry leaders could evaluate and honor each other’s work. The CODiE Awards are the only peer–recognized awards of their kind in the industry.

“We are very pleased to receive this award and are grateful to the SIIA for providing the opportunity for organizations like Spectrum to earn the praise and recognition of industry professionals, peers, and competitors,” said Sybll Romley, Spectrum President and CEO. “Our staff worked hard to translate client feedback into system functionality for this product release. User response to iVantage 4.0 has been great, and it’s gratifying to be recognized.“

Ken Wasch, SIIA President, added, “The software and information industry continues to move at a dizzying pace, and being recognized by your peers for getting to and staying at the head of the pack in such a dynamic environment is a major accomplishment. It is one of the reasons why the CODiE Awards hold such a special place in our industry.”

Award judges are made up of representatives from the software and information industry trade press, mainstream technology writers, SIIA Member companies, analysts, consultants, and subject–matter experts. The name “CODiE” is derived from the word “code” and reflects the program’s basis in the software industry.

Spectrum’s high standards for technological excellence, coupled with its extensive HR expertise and knowledge, have supported solid growth through the years. With the debut of iVantage in 1999, Spectrum became the first software company to officially release a web–native HR product. In addition to other awards and certifications since its initial release, iVantage was also the first HRIS to be third–party security tested and certified in 2006.
